These past few days have been awesome. I’m so incredibly exhausted. I’m going on about 15 hours of sleep since Wednesday, and finally have a moment to catch up with things. Move-in seemed surreal. I feel like just minutes ago i was with my parents saying goodbye. (And yes, I cried :/). Everything after that has been moving at lightening speed. Where the time goes in college, I honestly couldn’t even begin to tell you how this time is flying by for me. But thus far, I’ve learned a few things. I went from standing on the side of the road with my stuff, clueless, confused, and terrified, to excited, optimistic, and still spinning in circles on the green trying to find my way back to my dorm. But I’ve had a few life lessons so far…
1.Never wear heels/wedges. You end up walking a marathon.. leads to sore feet, blisters, and lots of pain. And of course, those wounds carry over to the next day when you need to continue walking the millions of miles all over campus.
2. Should have explored Russell Dining Hall days ago…
3. When you need to wash your face in the bathroom, you need to bring your own towel.
4. Take advantage of the food from the dining hall, and stock up your room.
5. When meeting older people, don’t tell them where you live. It’s an automatic giveaway that you’re the freshman.
6. Remember to turn your phone off vibrate to catch your alarm.
And that’s only the beginning of it all…
